বর্তমান বিশ্বে ইন্টারনেটে বিদ্বেষমূলক হেট স্পিচ কন্টেন্ট অনেক বেশি ছড়িয়ে পড়ছে। ট্রল করা, কাউকে হেয় করা খুবই স্বাভাবিক ঘটনায় পরিণত হয়েছে । গুজবের কারণে প্রাণ হারাচ্ছে নিরিহ মানুষ ।  জঙ্গিবাদমূলক কার্যক্রম ছড়ানোর প্রধান মাধ্যমও হয়ে উঠেছে ইন্টারনেট । প্রশ্নটি হল, এটির বিরুদ্ধে আমরা কি পদক্ষেপ গ্রহন করতে পারি? আমাদের কাছে প্রযুক্তিগত, আইনী এবং কৌশলগত কী কী হাতিয়ার আছে যার মাধ্যমে আমরা ইন্টারনেট ক্ষতিকারক দিকগুলোর বিরুদ্ধে লড়াই করতে পারি? 

এবারের পিস সামিট এর সাথে একটি বিশেষ প্রতিযোগিতা “মোবাইল ফিল্ম এবং ফটোগ্রাফি চ্যালেঞ্জ” ব্যবস্থা করা হয়েছে। তরুণ অংশগ্রহণকারীরা প্রতিযোগিতায় সহনশীলতা, বৈচিত্র্য এবং শান্তির বিষয়বস্তুতে ছবি বা মোবাইল ভিডিও তৈরি করতে পারে। বিজয়ী এন্ট্রিগুলি পিস সামিটটিতে প্রদর্শিত হবে এবং পুরষ্কার দেওয়া হবে। শীর্ষ ৩ বিজয়ী মোট ৩০,০০০ টাকা মূল্যের নগদ পুরস্কার জিতবেন। এই প্রতিযোগিতার মূল উদ্দেশ্য হল তরুণ প্রজন্মের মাঝে সহনশীলতা, বৈচিত্র্য ও শান্তি বিষয় গুল জাগিয়ে তোলা। শর্ট ফিল্ম বা মোবাইল মুভিটি হতে পারে ইউটিউব ভিডিও, বর্ণনামূলক কিংবা ছোট নাটক ভিডিও আকারে অথবা থাম্বস্টোপার “10-সেকেন্ডের শর্ট ফিল্ম” যা সোশ্যাল মিডিয়াতে একটি সামাজিক বার্তা ধারণ করে। অংশগ্রহণকারীরা তাদের কন্টেন্টগুলো ফেসবুক / ইনস্টাগ্রাম প্রোফাইল, ইউটিউব বা পেজে #PeaceSummit হ্যাশট্যাগ ব্যাবহার করে আপ করতে পারবে এবং তারপর নিচের লিঙ্ক এ নিবন্ধন করতে পারবে।

Preneur Lab in partnership with EMK Center is organising Peace Summit 5th Edition on the International Day of Tolerance. RTV is the media partner of the initiative. Peace Summit is an open platform that aims to bring development professionals, policy makers, researchers, law enforcement agencies and members of civil society in Dhaka together under one roof to discuss about Bangladesh’s most pressing issues and challenges. 

Peace Summit attendees will be the young people, digital and development professionals where speakers from different stakeholders will be invited who will take part in the discussion to create an impact. The summit will address social issues including violent extremism, diversity, mental wellbeing, online safety and fighting fake news.

“Mobile Films and Photography Challenge” is a part of Peace Summit 5. Young participants can create content (photo or video) on the topics of tolerance, diversity and peace to participate. Winning entries will be showcased and awarded in the summit. Top 3 Winners will win cash prizes worth 30,000 BDT in total.

How to Participate?

  • A photo or a short video that spread the message of tolerance, diversity or peace.
  • Short videos can be in form of short films or mobile journalism video.
  • Videos can also be #Thumbstoppers. A thumbstopper video is a “10-second short file” created for social media that contains a social message.
  • Upload the content (photo / video) in your Facebook / Instagram profile or page.
  • Add the #PeaceSummit hashtag and https://peace.preneurlab.org/challenge link in the post.
  • Make sure the post is “Public”.
  • After uploading fill up the form below with all your details.

Who can participate?

  • Any Bangladeshi individual or group can participate in the challenge.
  • Maximum Ten (10) individuals can form a single group.
  • There must be only one submission from each team or individual.

What kind of content are expected?

  • Content that speared diversity, peace and tolerance.
  • Content that shows why “Internet Hate Speech” should be stopped.
  • Content that shows how to respect others’ point of view.
  • Content that shows violence is not excepted in any circumstances.

Content Submission Guideline

  • The content must hold the message of “Tolerance”, “Diversity” and “Peace”.
  • Content must be original and generated by the participants. Any fraudal activity will be treated as disqualification.
  • For video contents, if any external content is being used, that must follow the Fair Usage Policy guideline.
  • Any attack directly towards any institutions, individual or community will be treated as disqualified.
  • Nudity, violence and hate speech are strictly prohibited.
